Junior ChoirMusic

Adult Choir: The choir, under the direction, of our talented music director, Dr. Paul-Martin Maki, consists of volunteers from the parish as well as four paid section leaders. Rehearsals are on Wednesday evenings from 7:15 to 9:15.

The choir provides music for the 10:00 a.m. liturgy every Sunday (except for the first of the month), September through May. They also provide music once a year for a magnificent Choral Evensong.

The choir not only provides the church with the ministry of beautiful music for our liturgy, they provide themselves with a wonderful opportunity for fellowship.

Junior Choir: Boys and girls in second grade and up sing in the Junior Choir, also directed by Dr. Maki. They provide the music for the 10:00 a.m. Eucharist on the first Sunday of the month during the academic year. Junior Choir practices are on Wednesday afternoons. In addition to learning basic musical skills, the children have the opportunity to become familiar with the church service at an early age.

St. Cecilia’s Choir: Under the direction of Director of Christian Education Debra Quintana, this is a choir for children ages five through eight. For more information call Debra Quintana (914-834-2981).

Paul-Martin MakiAbout the Director: In addition to his work at St. John's, Dr. Paul-Martin Maki is a member of the organ faculty of the Manhattan School of Music in New York City.
